I know everyone and their mom is saying that they can’t believe September is over but….I CAN’T BELIEVE SEPTEMBER IS OVER! September was amazing for me but I didn’t do the best job of blogging all about it, so I’m writing a huge month-long recap now.
I started September with a much-needed weekend in Charleston that you can read alllll about here.
When I got back to NYC I found out that Andrew had gotten into grad school at NYU, so we went out to celebrate. I’m wearing a Gucci dress from a few seasons ago that is my absolute FAVORITE! It’s basically like two giant scarves sewn together, which sounds weird but is super comfortable and beyond easy to pack. I can’t find this dress anywhere online but I did find a way to DIY it via Man Repeller..

Suddenly, it was New York Fashion Week! Thirty of my Style Collective Sisters gathered together for brunch at Pennsylvania 6 and we had so much fun. It was amazing to see so many faces that I had previously only seen through a screen.
From brunch we headed to the Shopstyle Social House, which was one of my favorite events during all of NYFW. We got our hair and makeup done, received adorable custom Gigi New York bags, found the cutest Hallmark cards, played with the choker bar from BaubleBar and more! I wore this killer Club Monaco skirt (on sale!), the Barney’s shoes I can’t seem to take off, a crop top from Forever 21 that I got a couple of years back, a gorgeous Anya Hindmarch clutch (similar here and here) and my Dior sunnies as usual.
The next day one of my best friends from Charleston, Gillian of Coastal Bride, came into town. We went to the Erin Fetherston show together and it was an absolute dream! This was my first official NYFW show so I was beyond excited to be there. We arrived early and spent some time in the lounge sipping on rosé before we headed to our seats. The show was so feminine and beautiful, I wanted everything I saw! We spent the rest of the day wandering through Central Park and hitting up Levain Bakery because it’s right next to my apartment. For dinner we went to one of my favorite spots in the city, The Lucky Bee; if you haven’t been, you need to go. Now.
The next night, Gillian and I went to the Bloglovin’ Awards. I was starstruck for most of the night..I mean Chriselle from the Chriselle Factor and my favorite human on earth, Amelia Diamond, were there!! Even Chiara Ferragni! Unfortunately, Gillian had to go back to Charleston the next day so we didn’t get to go to any more fun restaurants…but I can’t wait for her to come back.
The rest of the month was spent exploring the city and trying new places! I finally got to try Mimi Cheng’s Dumplings; I’ve been trying to go there ever since I moved to NYC. I can’t even tell you how delicious these dumplings are…Since Andrew and I went we have gotten them delivered twice! Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city. I got to go to a Met’s game with my company this month and that was super dope. We got to sit in a box and had Shake Shack catering; it was definitely heaven.
The last event I went to this month was a LIVELY Pop Up Showroom. I had seen the brand on Instagram before, but it was great to be able to try everything on. I instantly fell in love with everything once I saw and felt it; I got a bodysuit and some great underwear. Think Calvin Klein but with a way better price tag!
My phone has been broken for a couple of weeks now, so if you have been missing me on Instagram and Snapchat, that’s why! I should be getting one in the mail today but it has already had one attempted delivery this morning…ugh! I’m losing my mind. I have some great events coming up in October and I’m working really hard on keeping this website updated along with my Instagram, so stay tuned!
Inspiration post!
